Jersey Shore Suggestions

The Jersey Shore needs to shake it up. The funny things about the show are being curbed because everyone on there is super rich and famous. It has removed the stakes. Why does Mike "The Situation" give a crap if he gets bitched out by his boss at the T-Shirt shop? He drives a Ferrari...what does he care about T-Shirts?

In short, they need to evolve the cast.

Who to get rid of:

Vinny --
The most exciting thing that's happened to Vinny in the last two seasons is that he started suffering from Anxiety and had to leave the house, which doesn't speak well to his importance on the show. In the first couple of seasons, he played the role of the straight man (or the straightest man) and helped highlight the absurdity of the Mikes and Snookies of the house. Now, Vinny is a star, so he can no longer play that role.

"J-WoW" --
Jenny was a good addition to the show early on. She was good to go out and party with Snookie and it allowed for Snookie to get fall down drunk and have a built in babysitter. Plus, Jenny was out looking for guys, which made for entertaining, yet trashy TV, like her piece in the intro where she says "After I sleep with a guy, I will bite his head off." That's the JWoW we love. Now, she's got Roger....get her out of here.

Sammie and Ronnie --
I loved to hate Sammie and Ronnie. Now, they seem to have worked out some form of normal communication which doesn't involve screaming, crying, whining, throwing clothes over the balcony, or hulking out and picking up beds with each other on them. They have to go, as they aren't adding anything at the moment.

Who to keep:

"The Situation" --
I think that Mike is possibly the smartest person on the show. He gets it. He's an intolerable a-hole, but he's one that knows his place and creates enough drama and entertainment for everyone in the house to have a job. He's also the most "evolved" character of the bunch. In the first season, he was pretty pathetic, getting consistently turned down at the club. In the 2nd season, he became known and brought home a new girl every night. Then, he turned into the villain. I think it's time for a shift in power, putting Mike back on top, which I'll get to in a minute.

Pauly D --
Along with Mike, Pauly brings the most to the show, via his personality and wit. He has funny catch-phrases. He's somewhat of a likeable version of Mike. His bromance with Vinny was good for the show, but they've plateaued. With Vinny gone, I expect a reborn Pauly.

Snookie and Deena --
They get drunk and act a fool. Snookie is crass and funny. Deena is a train-wreck and love in love. I think there's still a story to be told here. Snookie's love/hate with Mike also has room to grow. More on this...

Who to add:

Ryder --
Ryder is slutty and attractive. She's also slept with multiple members in the house. I think that Deena may be jealous of her affection for Pauly, too, which can blossom into wonderful cattyness later.

Unit --
Unit is a big douche. Also, he's Mike good friend and will shift the balance of power in the house. He's knows that Snookie and Mike were together when she was with Gionni. He's the key, which brings me to...

Gionni --
He's the new Vinny. He's the regular guy that's sort of relateable, he's nice and likeable, and he's clueless to what really goes on. If he, Unit, Mike, and Snookie are in the same house with Gionni, eventually, everything will come out.
