I wouldn't normally make a blog post when a has-been musician dies, but Michael Jackson is a special case. The guy ignited my love for music. Not only did I (re)discover music with Thriller, but the Jackson Five has some of my favorite songs of all time. "I Want You Back" is one of the all time jams. He got into some trouble along the way with some underage weenie-touching, but hey -- it's nothing a few of my priest friends haven't done.
To keep this from being a "Best of the Beatles" list, I made myself one key rule: One song per artist. The songs are alphabetized by artist. It took until about the 1930s for music to start getting good. Trust me, I've been through some crappy times -- the Dark Ages totally blew!
