Recommended by an Apostle, the SYSK podcast is put on by HowStuffWorks.com. The weekly format has two guys choose a topic (on anything), research it, and give you the scoop of the ins-and-outs, general thoughts and misconceptions about whatever it is. The two guys bring you a layman’s perspective, and seem to be intellectually honest about what they’re telling you, without much of an agenda. It feels like two of your buddies going back and forth.

Highly recommended by one of the Apostles, This American Life is an hour-long, weekly podcast that tells a collection of thematically-related human interest stories. It’s usually in 2 or 3 in-depth segments that include interviews from people who are living their unique version of the American Dream.

I've just recently started listening to this audio podcast, and I'm digging it, but it's most certainly not for everyone. This is a hardcore movie/TV podcast for serious movie geeks. It's a panel format, with about 4 guys that talk at a super in-depth level about new releases and film, in general. The format is pretty standard: what have you been watching, news, new trailers, and reviews.

The Totally Rad Show is a weekly, roughly hour-long podcast covering the same kind of things that you find here: geek culture. While technically a video podcast, the visuals aren't required, and I often just listen, without watching -- so I put it in my LISTEN section. It's mostly just three guys talking, anyway.

I was sent this link today about an exciting fossil find. While I know it's there to test your faith, it's interesting nonetheless. And it reminded me of one of my favorite podcasts, the Skeptics Guide to the Universe.
