This puzzle game is sequel to the title from a few years ago, Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It is not so much a true sequel, but more of the same game with new puzzles. There are some improvements, but overall, it’s the equivalent of a map-pack. That isn’t meant as an insult, as I enjoyed the first game very much. Instead, I offer the observation for those who’ve played the original: If you liked it, there’s more to like here. If not, you won’t find much different to change your mind.
Peggle is the game that turned bite-sized game company Pop Cap into the big-time developer that it is today. Peggle helped turn "hard core" gamers on to more arcade-style offerings and show them that fun is fun, regardless. The concept of Peggle is simple: You shoot balls from a cannon atop the screen, where they bounce down around a sea of pegs, like you'd see in a game of pachinko. The goal is to gain points by eliminating all of the orange pegs before your balls run out, while using the other colors as banks, power-ups and point multipliers.
